Dongsuk Shin

Dongsuk Shin has had a long and successful career in the field of robotics. Dongsuk began in 2004 as a Research Scholar at Stanford University Medical Center. In 2006, they moved to the Ochsner Clinic Foundation as a Research Scholar. From 2007 to 2013, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at Rice University. Dongsuk then joined The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) as an Assistant Professor in 2013. In 2017, they became the Chief Technology Officer at both ColubrisMX, Inc. and XCath, Inc. In 2021, they moved to EndoQuest Robotics\u2122 as a Principal Research Scientist.

Dongsuk Shin received their BS in Mechanical Engineering from Hongik University in 2003, followed by a Master in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University in 2006. Dongsuk then went on to earn their PhD in Bioengineering from Rice University in 2013. Dongsuk also holds a SCJP (Sun Certified Programmer for the Java Platform) certification.
