Sherin Mathews is a Principal AI Research Scientist at U.S. Bank since December 2021, specializing in responsible AI, large language model attacks, ethical implications, hallucination mitigation, and fair credit scoring models. Prior to this role, Sherin was a Senior Research Scientist at Intel Security/McAfee from June 2015 to December 2021, leading research on deepfake detection and explainable artificial intelligence for malware classification. Sherin also served as a Computer Vision PhD Intern Researcher at Canon USA in 2013. Academically, Sherin holds a PhD in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, alongside two Master’s degrees in Science, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.
