Jimmy Eaton-Evans

Jimmy Eaton-Evans is a seasoned expert in medical device innovation, currently serving as Co-Founder and CTO at Endowave since July 2018, where the focus is on developing a microwave ablation system for early-stage lung cancer treatment. Previously, Jimmy held positions as a Research Fellow at the National University of Ireland, Galway, and Bioinnovate, contributing to advanced technologies in lung cancer treatment and medical device innovation. Early career experience includes roles as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Aerogen and a Product Development Engineer at Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, where award-winning designs for medical devices were created. Academic credentials comprise a PhD in Thermoelastic Stress Analysis of Intravascular Devices from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick, supplemented by a Diploma in Design and Specification of Plastics from The University of Auckland.
