Kaustav Basu

Kaustav Basu has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Kaustav is currently working at Eneco as the Data Science Squad/Team Lead in the International Digital Department since October 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Expert Lead Data in the BTO team at Eneco, where they led the innovation strategy of the central data group and represented the data domain in the Architecture Board Customer. Before joining Eneco, they worked at Quby as the Principal Data Scientist, leading the data science team in innovation and algorithm development. Kaustav also held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Quby, responsible for delivering computational solutions in support of the company's products and services. Kaustav has experience in the field of smart energy, having worked as a Data Scientist at Quby, where they researched and developed innovative data science techniques and deployed prototypes in production. Kaustav has also worked at GIPSA-Lab, Greeniant, G2Elab, Grenoble INP, Inria, and Laboratoire G-SCOP Grenoble in various research and teaching roles.Overall, Kaustav Basu is an experienced professional with expertise in leading data science teams and driving innovation in the field.

Kaustav Basu received their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, from 2005 to 2009. Kaustav went on to complete a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Computer Engineering at Jadavpur University from 2009 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Graphics, Vision, Robotics at the National School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of Grenoble from 2010 to 2011. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Université Grenoble Alpes from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Scala Training, Spark Training, and an accelerator program for Data Scientist from GoDataDriven.
