René Preenen

René Preenen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. René has held various roles in different companies. René started their career as an ICT Consultant at Cap Gemini, where they worked on developing intranet information tools. René then joined ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and took on multiple roles, including Project Manager, Programme Manager, Head of Management Accounting, and Business Manager. In these positions, René was responsible for implementing finance transformation projects, introducing lean practices, and managing internal customer relationships. René also worked as a Project Manager at Dunamare Onderwijsgroep, where they renewed the financial administration of the organization. René has also worked at ING Bank, where they served as a Project Manager, overseeing the design and deployment of IT dashboards and transforming governance processes. More recently, René has been associated with Agium Finance & Control, serving as a Business Consultant and Team Lead at Eneco in the field of energy trade. René has experience in program and change management, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, financial management, and operational excellence.

René Preenen completed their education chronologically as follows:

- From 1977 to 1983, they attended Hartebrugschool Leiden for their primary education.

- René then pursued Voortgezet onderwijs (VO) / Middelbaar onderwijs at Bona from 1983 to 1989, obtaining a VWO degree.

- In 1989, René started studying at Leiden University, where they completed their Master of Arts degree in Economical History. René also pursued a postdoc International Law program during this time, which they completed in 1995.

- In 1993, they participated in a summer school program called the 1st interchange University Leiden & MGIMO, organized by the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO.

- René gained further certifications and training throughout their career. Notably, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from MKPC in 2015-2016 and completed NLP Practitioner training at Mind Academy - NLP trainingen in 2023.

- René also gained additional qualifications such as EFET Energy Markets Training Programme (2023), Leading SAFe 4.0 (2017), Agile Project Management (2016), Lean Competency levels 1a, 1b, and 1c (2015), Certificate Project Management Professional (IPMA-C) from PMI NL (2002), DSDM Practitioner from Capgemini Nederland (2002), NIMA Marketing-A from Nederlands Instituut voor Marketing (2000), NIBE Effectenbedrijf (1999), NIBE Buitenlandbedrijf (1998), and NIBE Algemene Opleiding Bankbedrijf (1997).
