Rafael Sánchez

Rafael Sánchez has extensive experience in supply chain operations and management. Rafael started their career as a Supply Planning Project Intern at Unilever in 2003 and later worked as a Distribution Planner in the Foods division. At Nestle S.A., Rafael served as a Demand Planner and later as a Demand Planning Manager, where they successfully improved the national Demand Plan Accuracy. Rafael then joined GE Appliances, where they worked as an Inventory Control Manager and later as a Category Manager, responsible for product portfolio development and competitive analysis. At Wolseley Canada Inc., Rafael held the positions of Senior Category Manager and Senior Sourcing Manager, where they focused on maximizing category profitability and negotiating strategic sourcing agreements. Currently, Rafael is the Director of Supply Chain Operations at Enercare Inc., where they lead best practices in forecasting, planning, and inventory management, as well as oversees the purchasing department. Throughout their career, Rafael has consistently demonstrated strong leadership and achieved impactful results in supply chain optimization and performance improvement.

Rafael Sánchez obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Panamericana in 2003. Rafael then went on to complete their Master of Management in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from McGill University between 2007 and 2009. In 2017, they pursued a Diploma in Marketing from McMaster University. In addition to their degrees, Rafael also obtained a Competence in the French Language certification from Mohawk College in 2015, a Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate from McGill University in 2008, and a Retail Supply Chain Certification from the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) in 2007.
