Derrick Buck

Derrick Buck is the Director of Cell Manufacturing at EnerDel Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has over 25 years of engineering experience in the field of electrical automotive components, with the past 13 years focused solely on the development of lithium battery systems and manufacturing methods.

Previously, Mr. Buck served with Delphi Corporation where he was responsible for the product and process development of energy generation products, and for the integration of lean assembly cells and high volume manufacturing systems. He has also coordinated the timely installation and successful launch of numerous new product productions start-ups.

Mr. Buck has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. He has co-authored 13 energy storage patent applications, 4 publications, and 1 energy generation patent. Mr. Buck embraces the opportunity to publically speak about advanced energy storage technologies with potential customers, investors, governing bodies, and media.
