Vice President Of Quality, Environmental Compliance, And IT at Energetiq Technology

Karen Tichenor has extensive work experience in quality and environmental compliance roles. Karen is currently serving as the Vice President of Quality and Environmental Compliance for Energetiq - A Hamamatsu Company since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President of Quality and Reliability at Gatan Inc. from 2018 to 2020 and as the Director of Quality, RAMS, Field Activities at Kawasaki Rail Car from 2016 to 2018. Karen also held the position of Vice President of Quality and Program Management at New York Air Brake from 2013 to 2015, where they implemented various quality and environmental health and safety programs. Karen has also worked in senior quality executive roles at Aquion Energy, Ansaldo STS, Bombardier Transportation, Fischione Instruments, Veeco Instruments, and Advanced Energy, where they demonstrated expertise in quality control and assurance, supplier quality, and product development.

Karen Tichenor holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, which they obtained from North Carolina State University between 1988 and 1990. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completing it from 1985 to 1987. In their undergraduate studies, Karen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they pursued at North Carolina State University from 1982 to 1984.
