Darren Wright has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Darren started their career as an IT Administrator at Ulster Weavers, where they supported end users and managed the network. Darren then moved on to work as a Systems Administrator at Ulster Weavers Apparel.
Afterwards, Darren joined Belfast City Council as a Senior IT Consultant, where they developed software and improved performance for various projects. Darren then moved to Allstate Northern Ireland as a Project Manager, managing software development and business process outsourcing projects across different time zones.
Darren then joined Translink as an IS Project Manager, implementing IT infrastructure projects using Cisco networking products. At Viridian Group, they worked as a Project Manager, overseeing the implementation of new energy trading and risk management systems.
Following that, Darren was the Owner of Total Network Solutions, a provider of cloud-based wireless access network technologies. Darren also started their own business, AutoWorx NI, where they served as the Owner.
Currently, Darren is working at Energia Group as a Technical Delivery Lead. Their responsibilities include leading programmes and projects, as well as overseeing the implementation of smart meters.
Throughout their career, Darren has demonstrated a strong background in IT project management, software development, and network infrastructure implementation.
Darren Wright holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Ulster University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast, completing it from 1994 to 1998. Darren's high school education was obtained at Ballyclare High, although specific dates and degrees were not provided.
