Georg Nikolaus Stamatelopoulos

Georg Nikolaus Stamatelopoulos has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Vorstandsvorsitzender and COO of Generation and Trading at EnBW since July 2010. Responsibilities include overseeing Renewables, Conventional & Nuclear generation, Trading, R&D, and HSSE, as well as managing operations, maintenance, technology, and asset management for all renewable and conventional assets. Prior to EnBW, Stamatelopoulos held the position of Leiter Engineering at Alstom Power, focusing on the engineering and construction of large power plants, and served as Leiter Engineering Modernisierung Altanlagen at Austrian Energy and Environment, specializing in the modernization of thermal power plants. Stamatelopoulos holds a Dr.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy and Process Engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig and a Dipl.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
