Don Wood

Venture Partner, West at Energy Impact Partners

Mr. Wood spent the first part of his career as a founder and operating executive in Silicon Valley companies. He has worked in the venture capital industry for the last two decades. He is currently Venture Partner at technology investment firm DFJ, which he joined in 2006 as Managing Director. Don’s primary investment focus has been energy and sustainability, consumer web, and enterprise IT. His venture funds (Vanguard and DFJ) have funded over 600 companies, and he has served on 15 boards of both private and public companies. Don is now on the faculty of the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he teaches courses in energy innovation and entrepreneurship.

As Senior Advisor and Venture Partner, Wood shares his energy investment experience, operating background, and Silicon Valley connections to strengthen EIP’s network of global utilities and growing investment portfolio. Mr. Wood holds a B.A. and MBA from Stanford University.
