Louise McSweeney

Louise McSweeney has extensive work experience in the energy industry and telecommunications sector. Louise is currently the Head of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) at Energy Locals since February 2023. Previously, they worked at Origin Energy from January 2020 to November 2022 as the Head of Product, Development, and Marketing for OriginZero. Before that, they were the Head of Commercial Solar and Channel and Partnerships Manager at EnergyAustralia from October 2016 to October 2019. Louise also gained experience as the Strategy and Projects Manager at Alexander Funds Management for a brief period in 2016. Prior to that, they held positions at AGL Australia as the Head of Solar Technology from January 2015 to June 2016 and as a Strategy Manager responsible for product development and scale from June 2012 to January 2015. Louise started their career at Telstra in 2002, where they held roles as the Retail Transformation Lead from July 2008 to February 2010 and as the Senior Portfolio Manager for Mobile Devices from July 2002 to July 2008. Louise's early experience includes a role as a Product Development Manager for Messaging at HutchisonUK 3G from January 2001 to December 2001.

Louise McSweeney obtained a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) degree in Marketing from Massey University. Louise is currently pursuing a degree in Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions at the University of Cambridge, which will be completed in 2022.
