Rebecca Harvey has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Rebecca started their career as an Electrical Engineering Student at Lectel Consulting Pty Ltd in 2006. Rebecca then moved on to Ergon Energy in 2011, where they held various roles as a Graduate Electrical Engineer, specializing in different areas such as Operational Technology, Commissioning and Maintenance, and Distribution Network Standards, among others. In 2018, they joined Ergon Energy as a Field Support Engineer. Recently, in 2022, they started working at Energy Queensland as a Lead Engineer, focusing on Regulatory and Emerging Technology.

Rebecca Harvey's education history begins in 2001 when they attended Rockhampton Girls Grammar School. However, no specific degree or field of study is mentioned during their time there. In 2006, they enrolled at TAFE Queensland and completed a Certificate III in Engineering Technical. Moving forward, from 2007 to 2012, Rebecca pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng)(Hons) degree in Power Engineering at the University of Southern Queensland.

Recently, in 2021, they enrolled in Griffith University to pursue a Master of Professional Engineering Leadership degree in the field of Engineering. Moreover, Rebecca has also obtained additional certifications related to their career. In 2022, they completed the POWERful Women Leadership Program - Professional Stream at the Australian Power Institute and also participated in the API Summer School+ 2022 program.
