Joseph Ogwang

Joseph Ogwang has a diverse work experience in various industries. Joseph is currently working as a Human-Robot Supervisor at Energy Robotics since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Contour Safaris as the Co-Founder and Head of Operations since October 2017. Joseph also worked as a Grower at INFARM from November 2021 to November 2022. Joseph served as a Production & Quality Controller at Worldtech Logistics GmbH - Accura Personalservice GmbH from April 2021 to October 2021. Joseph has also worked as a Scientific Assistant at Universität Greifswald from November 2019 to February 2020 and as a Research/Student Assistant at the same institution from July 2019 to September 2019. Joseph gained experience as an Environment & Biodiversity Field Officer at TotalEnergies from March 2018 to July 2018. Prior to that, Joseph held multiple roles including Pricing Committee Member of the Procurement and Disposal Unit and Zoologist/Zookeeper at the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre from March 2016 to July 2018. Additionally, they were a Working Group Committee Member at the Pan-African Association of Zoos and Aquaria (PAAZA) from February 2016 to July 2018.

Joseph Ogwang completed their education at various institutions. From 2011 to 2015, they attended Makerere University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Health and Management. Continuing their education, from 2018 to 2020, Joseph attended Universität Greifswald and earned a Master of Science degree in Landscape Ecology and Nature Conservation. In addition to their formal education, Joseph also obtained several certifications. In January 2022, they received the certification in Health & Safety, Hygiene & Food Safety from INFARM. In April 2022, they obtained certifications in Food Safety, Quality & Hygiene, as well as in Health, Safety & Environment from the same institution. Furthermore, in September 2019, Joseph completed a First Aid certification offered by Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK), Ortsverein Tübingen.
