Tom Luff

Tom Luff is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in energy and infrastructure roles. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Energy Systems Catapult since June 2022, Tom has held significant positions such as Deputy Director for the Development Team within the Vaccines Taskforce at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from January to September 2021. Previous roles include serving as Energy and Infrastructure Counsellor and First Secretary at the British Embassy in Tokyo from January 2017 to January 2021, and various leadership positions at the Department of Energy and Climate Change from October 2010 to December 2016. Tom's earlier career includes serving as Head of Energy Security at the Cabinet Office and Senior Advisor in the Strategy Unit from November 2008 to October 2010. Tom holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Japanese from The University of Sheffield.
