James Okullo

James Okullo is a seasoned professional in the field of energy systems and engineering, currently serving as the Director of System Planning at ESIG since April 2023. Prior to this role, James held multiple positions at the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) from 2012 to 2023, advancing from Economic Studies Engineer to Manager of Strategic Assessments. James possesses an extensive educational background, including a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Washington and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence from the University of St. Thomas. James holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Seattle University.
