Matt Gordon

Matt Gordon has over 19 years of work experience, primarily in the energy industry. Matt started their career at SFS intec, where they worked as a Product Design and Sales Engineer and later as a Product Manager in the Timber Fastener Division. In 2006, they joined Sunoco Logistics as a Pipeline Field Engineer and subsequently held positions such as Technical Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Area Manager. In these roles, they managed pipeline operations, breakout storage facilities, and marine terminals, and also led teams of supervisors and union personnel. In 2012, Matt joined Energy Transfer as a Principal Engineer/Project Manager, where they managed multiple large-scale pipeline construction projects. Matt later transitioned to roles such as Director of Special Projects, Senior Director of Operations, and currently serves as the Vice President of Operations. In these roles, they have overseen multi-year, multi-billion-dollar capital projects and managed teams of project managers while ensuring compliance with regulations and driving a results-focused culture.

Matt Gordon attended Lane Community College from 1996 to 1998 and obtained an Associate of Arts degree. From 2000 to 2003, they attended North Carolina State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
