Sam Potasznik has diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Starting in 2009, Sam worked as a Ruby on Rails Intern at Birch Tree Group and Bar Z Adventures. In 2011, Sam joined BrainPOP as a Game Developer.
From 2012 to 2014, Sam was self-employed and worked as a Contract Software Engineer. Following that, Sam worked as a Games Team Lead at The Center for Identity from 2014 to 2015.
In 2016, Sam founded Wide Open Games, where they served as the Founder until 2018. Simultaneously, Sam also founded PlayGood Games in 2016 and worked as the Founder + Principal Software Engineer until 2021. At PlayGood Games, Sam developed interactive web experiences for mission-driven organizations.
In 2021, Sam joined the U.S. Census Bureau as a Web Developer. Later that year, Sam became a Senior Frontend Developer at Replate, a position held until 2022.
Currently, Sam is working as a Senior Frontend Engineer at EnergyHub, starting in 2023.
From 2006 to 2010, Sam Potasznik attended Brown University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science.
