Colin Coombes

Colin Coombes, P.Eng. has extensive experience in engineering and management, currently serving as Engineering Manager for Power Systems at EnerSys since May 2008, where responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers and overseeing the UBC Living Lab Project Team. Prior roles include RF Test Specialist at Norsat International Inc., R&D Technologist at Scientific-Atlanta Canada Inc. focusing on fiber optic communications, and Manufacturing Engineering at Scientific Atlanta, where innovative solutions were developed for manufacturing efficiency. Earlier experience includes working as an Electronics Technologist at Pthalo Systems, leading the design of a noise reduction device for motion picture film. Colin Coombes holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Lakehead University and a Diploma of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
