Laarni Buhay-Canoy, MBA, SPHR has a diverse and extensive work experience. Laarni is currently the Director of Recruiting at Enervee, where they are involved in transforming the shopping experience to combat climate change. Previously, they held the role of Director of Talent Acquisition and HRBP at ScaleFactor, an innovative finance software company that automates bookkeeping tasks. Laarni also worked as the Founder & Lead Recruiter at Laarni Canoy Talent Search, focusing on partnering with small businesses to find the best talents for their teams. Additionally, they served as the Director of People & Culture at Notley, a catalyst for social innovation, and as the Director of Human Resources and Talent Management at PetRelocation.com. Laarni also gained experience as an Office Manager at Zynga, a leading developer of social games. Earlier in their career, they worked at Summit Partners as an Executive Assistant & Associate Recruiter, and at Shangri-La Hotel Manila as Chief Purser.

Laarni Buhay-Canoy completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Ateneo de Manila University in the years 1989 to 1993. Laarni later pursued their MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University from 2006 to 2008. In addition, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute in December 2015 and renewed their certification in January 2021. Laarni Buhay-Canoy has also acquired several certifications in diversity, equity, inclusion, and organizational development from LinkedIn, including "Leading Your Org on a Journey of Allyship," "Unlocking Authentic Communication in a Culturally-Diverse Workplace," and many others.
