Ehsan Naranji

Dr. Ehsan Naranji is the President of ENFA Corporation. He leads the corporate day-to-day activities as well as providing technical support to clients.

He is an adjunct professor at George Washington University, department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering as well as department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering, and also an adjunct professor at George Mason University, graduate school, department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Prior to ENFA Corporation, Dr. Naranji worked as a senior advisor to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of Systems Development (OSD), Ground System Division (GSD) Chief, Office of Satellite Ground Services (OSGS), OSD Chief Systems Engineer, JPSS Transition team, GOES-R Satellite Products, and as acting GSD Chief of Staff. He has performed a variety of technical management and organizational development tasks including the use of standardized engineering processes designed to improve GSD’s approach to manage and monitor its programs and coordinate with stakeholders. His responsibilities include overseeing the developments of multiple joint programs between NOAA and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He has also performed as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to restructure the National Weather Service (NWS) organization and budget structures and processes for planning and execution.

Previously, he founded E & F Company, a Virginia based company that provided specialized Management and Engineering services that assisted its clients with specialized business needs, as well as providing an outsourcing model that enabled them to complete projects on-time and under budget using outside resources.

Prior to founding E & F Company, he worked as a senior system engineer at Orbital Sciences Corporation. He was responsible for overviewing the performance of projects in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines to design and develop spacecraft. In this role, he coordinated with system/subsystem experts on technical performance, ensuring consistency with established system philosophy; evaluated and coordinated assessments of electrical, structural, thermal, software and attitude control system design and integration. Guided and supported the technical system development and trades, technology insertion and assessment, requirements development, design and development, system integration and test, and mission execution.

Before Orbital, Dr. Naranji worked as a senior advisor to Electric Motion System. His role was to establish new client relationships as well as to aid in strengthening existing client relationships through cultivating network and strategic relationships, and developing a thorough market intelligence platform to identify and prioritize product opportunities for business.

Previously, he worked as a senior lead engineer at Rockwell Collins. he was responsible for identifying and gathering aircraft data to complete a variety of mechanical and electromechanical designs for various projects, including the MH-60 Weapons Load Trainer. He acted as a liaison with sub-contractors and vendors who provided complete turn-key components of simulated designs and entire subsystems.

Before joining Rockwell Collins, he served as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Orbital Sciences Corporation and Mechanical Design Engineer at Wavecrest Laboratories.

Dr. Naranji earned a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management from George Washington University. He earned an MBA from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), a Master of Aeronautical Engineering and Space Sciences from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and received a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Strayer University. He also holds airplane (multiengine, complex, high performance) and helicopter commercial-instrument pilot licenses.
