Laura Spidell

Ms. Spidell has a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University. She worked as a city planner in California, focusing on community planning and housing accessibility, before moving to Portland, Oregon. While caring for her two sons and her parents, Laura volunteered for her community in numerous ways through her neighborhood association, farmer’s market, and her children’s school. She values supporting her community, and also works running community food pantries through local schools. She got involved with the Alzheimer’s Association while caring for her mother, and also worked for a nonprofit bringing groceries to homebound seniors.
