Vaasu Patel

Vaasu Patel started their work experience as a Co-Founder of Tango Mango in November 2016. Vaasu then worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging from June 2019 to February 2020. In January 2021, they joined the University of California, Berkeley as an Undergraduate Researcher, where they worked on computational analysis of human cryo-electron tomography cellular structures until June 2022. During this time, they implemented computational methods and programs, curated a library of aligned tomograms, used sub-tomogram averaging methods, and trained CNNs to identify macromolecular complexes.
