Learning Development Specialist at Engageli

Nisha Abraham has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2008 as a Production Chemist at Life Technologies. In 2010, they took on the roles of Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University. In 2012, they worked as an ATI Associate at The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a Private Tutor. Nisha also worked as an Adjunct Faculty of Biology at South University in 2012. From 2014 to 2021, they worked at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) as a Senior Associate. Most recently, they have been working at Engageli as an Academic Engagement Specialist since 2021. From 2016 to 2021, they were an Assistant Director at Sanger Learning Center, where they applied for and was awarded the first Actions for Community Transformation Grant, used to develop and implement anti-racism training for peer educators. Nisha also implemented multiple methods to recruit diverse candidates for both staff and student employees, analyzed yearly usage data and created an annual dashboard report, coordinated center-wide assessment efforts, created new partnerships across campus, facilitated study skills workshops, supported learning center colleagues in collecting and analyzing data, delivered academic interventions, contributed to the field of learning assistance, provided direct service to UT students, and chaired the center assessment committee.

Nisha Abraham has a diverse educational background. Nisha completed their Bachelor's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at The University of Texas at Austin between 2003 and 2007. Nisha then went on to obtain their Master of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Texas A&M University between 2010 and 2012. Finally, they earned their Master of Education (M.Ed.) in STEM Education from The University of Texas at Austin in 2019.
