Thiago Garcia

Thiago Garcia currently serves as the Head of the Regional Office for Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia at Engagement Global gGmbH, where Thiago also leads the Connective Cities project within Germany’s Competence Centre for Local Development Cooperation. Prior experience includes project leadership roles at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, focusing on climate capacity building across multiple countries, and work as a German Chancellor Fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, analyzing climate protection policies. Thiago Garcia has a solid foundation in environmental engineering from Universidade FUMEC and holds an MBA in Project Management and a Master's in Public Policy and Human Development with a focus on regional integration. Additional experience spans various internships and leadership positions, including significant contributions to water resource management in Brazil.
