Alex Gendis

Alex Gendis has extensive experience in various leadership roles, particularly in the manufacturing and consumer goods industries. Starting in 1995 as a Marketing Manager at Uroda Cussons in Poland, they later served as Senior Regional Marketing Manager and Acting Head of Marketing at PZ Cussons Polska S.A., managing several personal care and household brands in Poland, Ukraine, and Russia.

In 2001, Alex became the Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore at PZ Cussons (International) Limited, responsible for the business units in both countries, as well as distributor management in Hong Kong, Myanmar, Taiwan, and the Philippines.

Alex then moved on to PZ Cussons Indonesia, where they served as Head of Procurement & Inter Company Sourcing. In 2006, Alex joined PZ Cussons East Africa Ltd as the Head of Marketing for Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, leading the development and execution of the company's brand portfolio strategy.

From 2008 to 2012, Alex worked as the Managing Director & Country Manager at DHL Global Forwarding Nigeria Ltd, overseeing six offices and ensuring high-quality global forwarding transport solutions.

In 2013, Alex joined Seven-Up Bottling Company Ltd as part of the Strategy & Corporate Development team, contributing to the company's long-term planning, category strategies, and export business development.

From 2014 to 2018, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer and General Manager at Bel Impex Ltd. In this role, they managed market-leading paper products and achieved business growth during Nigeria's recession by implementing sales force restructuring and Go-To-Market strategies, among other initiatives.

In 2018, Alex became the Chief Executive Officer & General Manager of Verde Beef, a leading beef exporter in Ethiopia. Alex successfully achieved significant growth, executed company restructuring, and established strong ties with the government and local communities.

Currently, Alex Gendis is the Managing Director at Engeepet Manufacturing Company Nigeria Limited, responsible for the overall business operations, including a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant servicing major beverage and food companies in Nigeria.

Alex Gendis obtained a Bachelor of Economics degree from La Trobe University, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. In 1995, they pursued a Post Graduate Certification in Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management at Swinburne University of Technology. The program focused on the field of study of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management.
