Winston Quirino

Winston Quirino has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and positions.

Winston is currently working as an Executive Director at BTG Pactual since 2022.

Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Engelhart Commodities Trading Partners from 2016 to 2019, including IT Director, Senior Global IT Manager, Senior IT Delivery Manager Americas, and Senior IT Delivery Manager LATAM. In these roles, they were responsible for long-term analysis and strategy definition, internal and external alignment during project life cycles, budget definition and controllership.

Before their time at Engelhart, they worked at BTG Pactual from 2013 to 2016, serving as an IT Delivery Manager LATAM and Associate Director. In these roles, they were responsible for the implantation of new trading platforms, project management, and vendor relationships.

Prior to that, they worked briefly at Ningo as a management software-development consultant in 2013. Here, they acted as a mediator among customers, partners, suppliers, and venture capital investors and introduced CMMI best practices into the software development process.

From 2008 to 2012, they worked at Agrofficio as an IT Manager and Partner. In this role, they were responsible for strategic alignment, raising funds for technological research and development, and modeling and development of J2EE systems.

Winston was also involved with CIETEC, where they served as a business plan incubated and representative entrepreneur from 2008 to 2012.

In 2007, they were a trainee at Atech S/A, applying PMBOK practices, CMMI, and agile development.

Before that, they had an internship at Argotechno in 2006, and conducted undergraduate research at Escola Politécnica da USP from 2004 to 2005.

Additionally, they worked as an independent software development consultant as a programmer from 1999 to 2002.

Winston Quirino holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa, which they obtained between 2013 and 2015. During this program, they specialized in strategic analysis, risk analysis and management, financial viability, and entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP, from 2003 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Winston Quirino has obtained various certifications. In January 2023, they became a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute. Winston has also completed multiple certifications related to Kubernetes, including "Kubernetes: Cloud Native Ecosystem," "Kubernetes: Microservices," "Kubernetes: Monitoring with Prometheus," "Kubernetes: Native Tools," and "Kubernetes: Service Mesh with Istio," all obtained in May 2020. Furthermore, they have certifications in "Learning Docker," "Learning Kubernetes," "Leveraging Neuroscience in the Workplace," "Master Cloud-Native Infrastructure with Kubernetes," and "Agile Software Development," all acquired in April and May 2020.
