Rajiv Bendale

Director, HPC Technologies at Engility Corporation

Rajiv Bendale has extensive experience in the field of high-performance computing and technology. Rajiv began their career in 1987 as a Post Doctoral Fellow at Case Western Reserve University. Rajiv then went on to work as a Research Associate at the Quantum Theory Project at the University of Florida from 1989 to 1993. In 1994, they worked as a Visiting Research Scientist at the Advanced Materials Research Center.

From 1995 to 1998, Rajiv served as a Research Associate at the University of Florida, where they implemented molecular dynamics and hybrid Monte Carlo methods to study fracture in glasses, simulated grain growth and high-temperature creep in silicon carbide, and developed MD and HMC simulations of structure and spectroscopy of rare earth doped laser host materials.

In 1998, Rajiv joined Hypercube Inc as the Director of Scientific Support. In this role, they provided scientific support for all Hypercube products, conducted quality assurance testing, wrote technical documentation and manuals, and developed scripts and programs for automating and interfacing to HyperChem.

From 2000 to 2005, Rajiv worked at IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences as a Senior Technical Solutions Specialist. Rajiv was responsible for leading technical sales of bioinformatics and other HPC software and hardware solutions. Rajiv also played a key role in introducing new IBM laptop and desktop standards for worldwide deployment for Pfizer research.

In 2005, Rajiv joined IBM S&D, STG Deep Computing as a Sales Leader and Chief Architect. Rajiv consistently met and exceeded sales targets, led the strategy for Blue Gene/L sales direction and markets, and successfully commercialized Blue Gene/L and Blue Gene/P Super Computer. Rajiv also played a key role as a subject matter expert and member of the Blue Gene Product Development Team.

From 2009 to the present, Rajiv has been working at High Performance Technologies, Inc. Rajiv initially served as the HPC Systems Technical Lead and then moved on to become the Director, HPC Technologies.

Throughout their career, Rajiv has demonstrated expertise and leadership in the field of high-performance computing and technology, with a focus on sales, architecture, and technical solutions.

Rajiv Bendale's education history includes obtaining a Ph.D in Quantum Chemistry from the University of Pune. The timeframe is unspecified, but it can be inferred that they completed their Ph.D by 1987.
