Global CFO at Engine Group

Larry Diamond is the Global CFO at Engine Group. Larry has over 20 years of experience in the automotive and technology industries. Larry was previously the Principal Technical Architect, API Architecture at Cox Automotive / Dealertrack Technologies. Larry was responsible for creating full stack architectural standards for 150 developers and for designing the common microservice and micro front end architecture used by multiple business units within Cox Automotive. Larry also designed and led the team developing POC for fleet management expansion, which earned a $5.7mm investment and has added $25mm in annual revenue.

Diamond has extensive experience in migrating products from on-prem data centers into AWS. Larry has also designed and developed image classification and structured data extraction using AWS Textract to reduce operational cost of reviewing images and improve accuracy of deal review. Additionally, they have designed and developed client attrition prediction using AWS Sagemaker and Comprehend to use client messages to find clients most likely to attrit.

Larry has also led an AWS migration effort and architected deployment strategy into AWS. Larry has written architecture documents for projects and passed AWS Well Architected Framework review. Additionally, they developed a plugin for SonarQube to find unsecured restful endpoints in Spring Boot microservices and ineffective unit tests.

Larry Diamond received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University at Albany, SUNY. Larry is a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute. Larry also has a certification in AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon. In addition, they are a 2008 Level 1 CFA candidate from the CFA Institute and has completed a course in Machine Learning via Coursera with Andrew Ng from Stanford University.

They work with Scott Schiller - Global Chief Commercial Officer, Nicole Tomei - SVP, Marketing, and Matt Steinwald - SVP, Executive Creative Director. Their manager is Kasha Cacy, Global CEO.
