Benjamin Talbot, PE, LEED AP is a seasoned professional in engineering and building optimization, currently serving as the Team Leader for the Analytics Group at Engineering Economics, Inc. since April 2023. With previous roles including Principal Solutions Consultant at VTS Rise and Principal at DLR Group, Benjamin has a strong background in monitoring-based commissioning, smart building consulting, and energy management. Notable achievements include leading the development of the Sonrai App for indoor air quality monitoring and launching the Monitoring Based Commissioning and Retro-Commissioning practices at DLR Group. Benjamin began their career at Grumman/Butkus Associates as an Energy/Commissioning Engineer and previously completed an internship there, focusing on energy audits and HVAC design. Educationally, Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Southern Methodist University.
