Foster J. Peterson

Foster J. Peterson is a seasoned professional in the railroad industry with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Principal and Senior Managing Consultant at Engineering Systems Inc. since June 2017, Foster has also held significant roles at Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, Inc., including Director of Safety & Operating Practices since 2011, showcasing expertise in safety and operational protocols. Prior to this, Foster was a Partner at Full Service Railroad Consulting, Inc. and held multiple leadership positions at Rail Sciences Inc. from 1995 to 2001. The career began as a Locomotive Engineer and Machinist at New Georgia Railroad from 1993 to 1995. Foster earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completing studies in 1995.
