Zeynep Ayla

Zeynep Ayla is an Associate Consultant in Thermal Sciences at Exponent, involved in fire and explosion investigations and dust hazard analyses since September 2022. As a SWE Leadership Coach, Zeynep mentors various collegiate and professional sections, enhancing SWE communities globally. Zeynep completed a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, contributing to research on alkene epoxidation and excelling in teaching roles recognized for outstanding performance. Previous experiences include a Reaction Engineering Internship at Dow Chemical Company and various academic and mentorship positions at Arizona State University, showcasing a strong commitment to engineering education and community engagement.
