Amritaa Basu has a variety of work experience, starting in 2020 with their role as an Independent Research Scholar at ICREST International Stem Cell Services Ltd. From April to December 2020, they also founded and taught at UnLockdown, an organization focused on creative lessons. In 2022, Amritaa joined the Georgia Tech VIP Program as an Undergraduate Researcher for the Global Health Device Innovation Project. Amritaa also became a Mechanical Engineering Team Member for GT Medical Robotics' Team Limbo. Additionally, they served as the Co-President of the Georgia Tech Chapter for Engineering World Health. Amritaa's most recent work experience includes their role as an Undergraduate Researcher at Emory University School of Medicine in the Serpooshan Lab for Tissue Manufacturing & Analysis. In 2023, they will begin an R&D Internship in Product Engineering at BD.
Amritaa Basu is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology since 2021. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2021, they attended the Indus International School Bangalore, where they completed the International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma Programme). Amritaa'sfield of study in the IB Programme included Biology, Physics, and Mathematics Analysis & Approaches, with their Extended Essay focused on Biology.
In addition to their formal education, Amritaa Basu has also obtained various certifications. In December 2020, they became an ICREST Annual Research Symposium Presenter at the International Stem Cell Services Ltd. In April 2020, they achieved a Trinity Speech and Drama - Intermediate - Distinction certification from Trinity College London. Furthermore, in August 2019, they obtained an AAU Pre-College Graphic Design Certification from the Academy of Art University. In July 2019, they also received an ICREST Combined Research Program Certificate from the International Stem Cell Services Ltd.
