Kenneth Stanton

Kenneth Stanton serves as the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and a Full Professor of Materials Engineering at the University of Limerick since August 2023. With a long-standing involvement at University College Dublin from September 2004, Kenneth holds the positions of Visiting Full Professor and Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, where responsibilities include Head of Subject for Materials Science and Engineering. Previous roles at University College Dublin also encompass Head of School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering and Graduate School Director, along with being Programme Director for the ME and MEngSc in Materials Science and Engineering. Accredited as a Fellow and Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland and the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining, Kenneth has established a reputable presence in the field, complemented by a solid educational background with a PhD in Biomaterials from the University of Limerick and an MSc in Research in Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London.
