Marie-Chantal Nyirahategekimana has a diverse work experience in various fields. Marie-Chantal worked as a Data analyst researcher at Howard University, where they conducted research on glycoproteins and trained graduate and post-doc students. Marie-Chantal also utilized Matlab and VBA Excel software for data analysis.

As the president of the Garden Bed Design Project at Engineers Without Borders USA, Marie-Chantal used engineering principles to design and implement raised garden beds to combat food deserts in Washington, D.C. Marie-Chantal utilized AutoCAD for the designs and planned future implementation of an irrigation system.

Marie-Chantal also worked as an IRISE intern at the National Science Foundation, where they measured sugar viscosity for grant writing purposes in the Biomolecular Assemblies and Nanomechanics Laboratory.

Finally, Marie-Chantal worked as a Behavioral Health Technician at Centria Healthcare, providing Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to children with Autism. Marie-Chantal recorded data and witnessed improvements in their clients' abilities after a month of therapy.

Marie-Chantal Nyirahategekimana earned a Bachelor's degree from Howard University between 2020 and 2023. Marie-Chantal then pursued a Master's degree in Data Science with a focus in Machine Learning at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering from 2023 to 2025.
