David Lloyd

David Lloyd has a wealth of experience in the engineering and technology field. David began their career in 2001 as a System Programmer at Teleplan International. In 2003, they co-founded Cygnet Cloud, where they worked as a System Architect. In 2006, they joined StoredSolar as an Electrochemical Engineer and developed prototypes for their iron-oxide based photoelectrolyser. In 2008, they began working at Aalto University School of Science and Technology as a Doctoral Researcher and Postdoctoral Researcher, where they developed new battery chemistries. In 2016, they became Chief Electrochemist at BroadBit Batteries, where they collaborated with other team members to develop the underlying chemistries of their metallic sodium-based battery designs. In 2018, they joined Northvolt as a Testing and Analysis Engineer. Most recently, in 2020, they began working at EnginZyme as a Senior Laboratory Data Management Engineer, where they work to accelerate the pace of innovation by supporting automation activities.

David Lloyd received their Doctor of Science in Electrochemistry from Aalto University in 2013, after completing their Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology in 2007.
