Marcus Puddephatt has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Marcus began their career in 1986 as a self-employed carpenter before joining Caledonian Airways as an Air Cabin Crew member from 1990 to 1993. Marcus then transitioned to Sussex Police, where they served as a Detective Sergeant in the Paedophile Online Investigation Team, specializing in intelligence and safeguarding from 1993 to 2016. From 2009 to 2020, Marcus worked as a football coach at Worthing Town Youth Football Club, focusing on grassroots and elite-level youth football. In 2016, they joined Crystal Palace Football Club as the Head of Safeguarding & Equality, a position they held until 2020. Currently, Marcus is employed by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as the Head of Recreational Cricket Discipline, a role they have held since June 2022. Throughout their career, Marcus has demonstrated expertise in safeguarding, equality, coaching, and investigative work.
From 1982 to 1987, Marcus Puddephatt pursued a degree in Sports Studies at Newhaven, a school where they completed their education.
