Risto Ikonen

Risto Ikonen has over 25 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Risto is currently the Head of Plant Engineering at eniferBio since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Project Lead at Carbo Culture from February 2021 to July 2023. Risto also served as a Project Manager at Afry Finland from September 2017 to February 2021, where they gained expertise in renewable energy and mining sectors. Before that, they worked as a Site Project Manager at St1 Biofuels from February 2008 to July 2017. Risto's career started at Metso Paper in January 2001, where they worked as a Project Manager until February 2008. Risto began their professional journey as a Mechanical Designer at Jaakko Pöyry in June 1996, a position they held until December 2001.

Risto Ikonen completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Engineering from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from 1993 to 1997. Risto later pursued a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the same university from 2017 to 2018.
