Ya Zhu

Ya Zhu has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data science. From 2018 onwards, they worked as a Data Scientist at Enigma Technologies, Inc. where they designed and developed scalable entity resolution pipelines, created machine learning models for company verification and risk scores, and built a classifier for predicting company industry codes. Prior to this, Ya Zhu worked as a Data Scientist at n-Join Research, where they applied neural network models for alarm prediction and implemented heuristic methods for time series analysis. Ya also gained experience as a Data Science Intern at NYU in 2017. In 2014, they worked as a Machine Learning Intern at HTC, where they trained a low-power classifier for smart-phones and significantly reduced power consumption. In 2012, Ya Zhu served as a Research Assistant at Zhejiang University and in 2011, they worked as a Research Intern at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where they worked on various projects including interactive question answering systems, similarity learning, and sentiment analysis.

Ya Zhu completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Technology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2008 to 2012. They then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at National Taiwan University from 2013 to 2016. Following that, Ya Zhu attended New York University from 2016 to 2017 to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science.
