Tara Payne has more than 15 years of work experience in the field of informatics and data management. Tara started their career as a Programmer/Analyst at MEDITECH, where they provided software service support for multiple hospitals. Tara then moved on to Columbia University, where they worked as a Biomedical Informatician and developed an ontology of biomedical concepts for information retrieval. Their expertise in informatics led their to the University of Chicago, where they served as a Biomedical Data Analyst and developed knowledge management tools for evidence-based medicine.

Tara then joined The Ohio State University, where they held multiple roles including Knowledge Engineer, Director of Informatics Research and Development, and Director of the Biomedical Analytics Center. In these positions, they focused on research, development, and evaluation of innovative informatics platforms, as well as the integration and transformation of health data into new knowledge. Tara also collaborated with various departments and led projects aimed at improving healthcare quality and reducing costs.

Before joining Enlace Health, Tara worked at Lumeris as a Principal of Product Management, where they were responsible for strategic planning and overseeing software development activities.

Currently, Tara is working at Enlace Health as an Information Architect. In addition to their work experience, they also have teaching experience as an instructor at Washington University in St. Louis, where they co-led a Biomedical Computing course and guest lectured on biomedical informatics topics.
