Irina Kulkova

Irina Kulkova is a skilled photonic designer with extensive experience in the field of photonics, currently serving as a Senior Photonic Designer at Enlightra since January 2023. Prior to this role, Irina worked as a PIC Design Engineer at EFFECT Photonics from August 2018 to December 2022, and as a Processing Engineer at Sparrow Quantum A/S from November 2016 to July 2018. Irina's earlier career includes a position as a Researcher at imec in 2016, focusing on III-V/Si photonic devices, and a postdoctoral role at EPFL, where research concentrated on GaAs-based site-controlled QDs and waveguides for quantum photonics. Irina's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Photonics from DTU, along with master's degrees in Electronics and Photonics, and Optics of Semiconductors from esteemed institutions in Russia.
