About the Role

The Director of Data Research is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for managing and scaling the data research team to deliver impactful results, driving strategic decision-making across the organization. This role encompasses overseeing and directing various data research projects, developing and refining research methodologies, and ensuring that data insights are accurate, reliable, and actionable. The Director also plays a key role in setting research priorities, focusing on operational efficiency, outcome generation and aligning data research efforts with business goals, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the data research team, including direct reports, ensuring effective scaling and operational efficiency.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize team performance, cost-effectiveness, and outcome delivery.

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data research projects with a focus on operational excellence.

• Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting the impact and value generated by the research.

• Develop and implement data research strategies to meet business objectives and uncover opportunities for insights and innovation.

• Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and internal teams to integrate research findings into business processes.

• Ensure data research adheres to best practices and regulations, maintaining accuracy, privacy, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field - Master’s or PhD is preferred with 12+ years in data research or analytics field and 4+ years in leadership role.

• Expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, and research methodologies

• Proficiency with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python, R, SQL).

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
