Mirza Haroon Ahmed

Mirza Haroon Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mirza Haroon began their career at Scotiabank in 2008 and worked as a Business Analyst. Mirza Haroon then moved on to CIBC in 2009, where they held the role of Business Analyst. In 2010, they joined Scotiabank again, this time as an Analyst in Risk Management. In 2011, they worked at Scotia Capital as a Market and Credit Risk Analyst. In 2012, they joined Capital Power Corporation as a Project Risk Specialist, where they developed tools and reports for risk monitoring and validation. Finally, since 2013, Mirza has been working at ENMAX, initially as an Energy Risk Specialist and later progressing to roles such as Quantitative Risk Specialist, Team Lead, Manager, and currently, as the Director of Capital Market.

Mirza Haroon Ahmed has a double degree in Mathematics and Business Administration with a focus on Statistics from the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, obtained from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, they have obtained a Certificate in Quantitative Finance from Fitch Learning in 2015 and a CSC (Canadian Securities Course) certification from CSI in 2009. Prior to higher education, they attended George S. Henry school.
