Tyler Selby

Tyler Selby, GISP has extensive work experience in the field of Geospatial Data Services and GIS management. Tyler currently serves as the Team Lead for Geospatial Data Services at ENMAX since January 2022.

Prior to this, Tyler worked in various roles and organizations. From 2011 onwards, they served in the Canadian Forces under the Kings Own Calgary Regiment. In 2013, they joined Alberta Health Services, where they held the positions of GIS Manager from January 2017 to January 2022 and GIS Coordinator from December 2013 to January 2017.

Tyler also worked as a Geospatial Technician at The City of Calgary from May to November 2013, and as a GIS Specialist at Aguila Exploration from November 2009 to April 2013.

Tyler'scareer started in 2009 as a GIS Summer Student at City of Calgary, where they designed, created, and populated custom GIS databases. Prior to that, Tyler was a Mapping Technician at Focus Surveys from 2005 to 2008.

Tyler Selby, GISP, holds a B.App.Tech. degree in GIS from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), which they obtained in 2009. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Geomatics Engineering, with a focus on Mapping, from SAIT in 2007. In 2014, Tyler obtained the GISP certification from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI). Additionally, they hold certifications in Frontline Leadership from neuroSHIFT and Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) from the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch, which they obtained in 2022 and 2014, respectively.
