Florence Pauline Basubas

Florence Pauline Basubas has held various roles in their work experience. Florence Pauline is currently a Masters Student Researcher at the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) since October 2022. Before that, they worked as a Science, Strategy, and Business Development Consultant at an AI Healthcare Company from July 2019. Florence also founded the Science Integrated Direction for Highschool Investigators (SIDHI) in February 2018.

Florence Pauline gained experience as a Visiting Student Researcher at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center - Cancer Prevention Research Training Program from January 2019 to May 2019, working in Dr. Virgil C. Jordan's laboratory. Florence also worked as an Outreach Intern and Student Representative at Minerva Project from June 2015 to May 2019, and as a Faculty Research Assistant there from September 2017 to April 2018.

Additionally, they served as a Special Social Media Ambassador at The New York Academy of Sciences from January 2018 to January 2019. Florence worked as a Visiting Student Researcher at Institut Pasteur Korea from September 2017 to January 2018, conducting research on Hepatitis at the Applied Molecular Virology Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Marc P. Windisch.

In their earlier experiences, they were a Senior Planning Board Auditor for the Girl Scout Network from May 2013 to May 2014, where they taught Senior Girl Scouts about earning badges and audited their accomplishments. Florence also served as a School Representative for SEALNet from April 2011 to April 2014.

Florence Pauline Basubas began their education at Saint Louis College - Cebu in 2006 and completed their elementary school education in 2010. Florence Pauline then attended Cebu City National Science High School from 2010 to 2014. After completing high school, Florence pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences and Social Sciences at Minerva University from 2015 to 2019. Florence Pauline recently enrolled at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2022, where they are currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Multidisciplinary Research in Experimental Sciences, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
