Todd Astor, M.D., M.B.A. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Todd is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Enolink since April 2023. Prior to this, they were a Member of the Board of Directors at the Medical Development Group of Boston starting from July 2022.
In 2020, Todd Astor founded Biomembretics, Inc., where they held the position of Founder and CEO. Todd aimed to develop a biomimetic, microfluidic artificial lung technology to revolutionize the treatment of patients with lung failure.
From 2017, Todd Astor worked as a Senior Advisor in Biomedical Technology Development at Draper. Todd has also held academic roles at Harvard Medical School as an Assistant Professor of Medicine from August 2010 to July 2023. During the same time, they served as the Medical Director for the Lung and Heart-Lung Transplant Center at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Todd Astor has also worked at Qx Therapeutics Inc as a Senior Advisor of Clinical Development from May 2019 to June 2022. In this role, they successfully achieved IND submission/approval, fast-track designation status, and designed phase 1/2 clinical trials for lung allograft dysfunction application for an immunomodulatory drug.
Earlier in their career, they were the Founder/Medical Director of the Pediatric and Adult Lung and Heart-Lung Transplant Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital from July 2004 to June 2010. Todd also held academic positions at The Ohio State University as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics and subsequently as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics from July 2004 to August 2009. Additionally, they worked as a Co-PI for the Cystic Fibrosis Human Airway Epithelial Cell Laboratory Collaborative at Nationwide Children's Research Center/Cystic Fibrosis Foundation from 2008 to 2010.
Todd Astor, M.D., M.B.A. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry and Biology at Colby College from 1987 to 1991. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, graduating in the year 1997. Later on, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management between 2013 and 2015.
