Benjamin Reiniger

Benjamin Reiniger has a diverse work experience starting with their role as a Lead Data Scientist at Enova International where they supported data analysts across brands and applications. Benjamin researched various analytics and machine learning approaches, developed best practices, and shared their findings through package development, learning opportunities, and individual consultations. Prior to this, they worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Illinois Institute of Technology, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Ryerson University, and a Graduate Student at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Benjamin also had experience as a Teaching Assistant at Illinois State University and as an Actuarial Intern at COUNTRY Financial.

Benjamin started their academic journey at Southwestern Illinois College from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) and Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Afterward, from 2006 to 2009, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics at Illinois State University. Furthermore, Benjamin continued their studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mathematics from 2009 to 2015.
