Erik Wals

Erik Wals currently serves as the Chief Privacy Officer at Enovis since January 2024 and has held the position of VP and General Counsel, International at DJO Global since January 2018. Wals also serves as the Data Protection Officer for Colfax Corporation since October 2019. Prior experience includes roles as Managing Counsel for LivePerson, Inc., and Legal Director at CBS Outdoor, where Wals managed legal matters for a Dutch subsidiary in the outdoor advertising sector. Previous positions include Senior Legal Counsel at Biomet, Inc., Legal Counsel at Bentley Systems, and Associate roles at Greenberg Traurig and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Wals began a legal career as a Law Clerk in the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. Wals holds a JD from Rutgers Law School and a Mr. degree from the University of Amsterdam, with additional education from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
