Phil Makrogiannis

Phil Makrogiannis is an experienced legal professional in the field of intellectual property, currently serving as Vice President of Intellectual Property at Enovis since May 2024. Previously, Phil held the position of Vice President, Intellectual Property & Associate General Counsel at Cardinal Health from September 2019 to May 2024, and served as Chief IP Counsel for Life Science at Thermo Fisher Scientific from February 2015 to July 2019. Phil's career in intellectual property law began at Applied Biosystems, leading the Engineering Patent Group from April 2006 to December 2008, followed by a role as Division Lead IP Counsel at Life Technologies until February 2015. Phil holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from UCLA.
