Sabbir Sattar has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Sabbir began their career as a Research Assistant at UCLA Optofluidics Systems Laboratory, where they developed lab-on-a-chip optoelectronic tweezers and conducted experiments to characterize thin film electrodes.

Sabbir then worked as an Equipment Maintenance Engineer at Finisar Corporation, where they led mechanical engineering projects for fixtures and equipment upgrades. Sabbir also worked on process improvement projects and conducted failure analysis.

After a personal sabbatical, Sabbir worked as a Consultant at Sattar Labs, assisting semiconductor clients with production issues and designing enclosures for IoT devices. Sabbir utilized various tools such as CNC, 3D printing, and injection molding.

Sabbir later joined Cepheid as a Sr. Equipment Engineer III before moving on to ENOVIX Corporation, where they took on the role of Sr. Principal Equipment Engineer. At ENOVIX, Sabbir owned multiple battery packaging lines and implemented solutions to improve yield and equipment performance. Sabbir also supported escalation activities and effectively communicated experimental results.

Sabbir Sattar obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UCLA in 2010. Sabbir also obtained additional certifications during their studies, including a Green Belt certification from San Jose State University in 2014 and an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification from the Board For Professional Engineers in 2012.
